AS ROMA 3-1 SS LAZIO - Full Time

13:06

Good afternoon and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of the Rome derby between Roma and Lazio. Every kick, card and of course goal will be brought to you as it happens at the Stadio Olimipico. Kick off is at 2:00pm.

13:09

Team News: Roma: (4-2-3-1) Olsen, Santon, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov, N'Zonzi, De Rossi, Florenzi, Pastore, El Shaarawy, Dzeko

13:12

Team News: Lazio: (3-5-2) Strakosha, Caceres, Acerbi, Felipe, Marusic, Parolo, Lucas, Milinkovic-Savic, Lulic, Alberto, Immobile

13:41

After manic confusion as to whether Cengriz Under or Davide Santon starts for Roma, the latter will play with Alessandro Florenzi ahead of him on the right flank.

13:50

It's 2-2 in the Head to Heads between these two - a bore 0-0 draw last time out at Lazio, but who will be the one to break the deadlock?

13:52

The stage is set at the Stadio Olimpico. The fans' nerves are starting to jitter; kick off looms.

13:55

"I believe that sport should unite, not divide, regardless of whether it’s a derby or not, but of course I hope Rome win. I was really moved by the affection shown by fans around Italy to mark the tenth anniversary of the passing of Gabriele Sandri. That's what sport is all about: I hope tomorrow is a celebration of sportsmanship and that Roma get the win." Eusebio di Francesco, Roma manager

13:56

“The derby is a game that you learn to know only when you arrive in Rome. Until I played the first derby I did not realize what it meant. After you have understood the match, it becomes a game in which you know that, if you have a soul, you have to give everything to win this match. You can see in the eyes of the people, the fans, the emotion, the incredible joy, it is so original, and unique. All games are important for the coach, for the players, for the club. But the derby is the game you play for the people, for the fans.” Marco Parolo, Lazio midfielder

14:00

The teams are out. It's showtime.

14:03

Deafening noise rings around the Olimpico, and we have lift-off.

14:03

Who will be the key men for both sides today? For the home side, it's hard to look past Argentinean playmaker Javier Pastore who will look to dictate proceedings in the hole behind Edin Dzeko. For Lazio, Manchester United transfer target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has the expectations of all Lazio supporters to deliver the goods.

3'

Two Lazio corners in succession after a promising start from the visitors. Roma, however shakily, scramble out away to the rapturous applause and admiration of the home faithful.

6'

Six minutes in and we can already see that this is going to be a ferocious midfield battle, considering the physicality and energy of Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas, De Rossi and N'Zonzi.

8'

Roma are growing into the game now after that early Lazio pressure. The home fans are in full voice, cheering on their brown-clad soldiers.

10'

Both sides are keen to keep the ball on the deck at present and outwit the other with clever movement and pace. However, the five across Lazio's midfield is proving a tough nut for the home side to crack.

12'

A swift break from Lazio brings their third corner already, with Lulic finding acres of space down the left and attacking the Roma box at full throttle. The subsequent corner is, however, dealt with comfortably at the near post.

16'

The pressure is mounting on Roma as careless mistakes continue to go unpunished by Lazio. The home side must ensure that nerves do not get the better of them.

18'

Both teams are using the width well; Roma with their full-backs overlapping their wingers, and Lazio with their wing-backs bombing on to supprt Alberto and Immobile.

19'

A good chance for right wing-back Marusic that was created by the bullish nature of Immobile, who held the ball up well before it was fired out to Marusic, who shot over. From the following corner, Immobile skied his volleyed effort.

20'

A ferocious long-range strike from Martin Caceres is saved by Olsen in the Roma goal - Lazio have set their stalls out to attack from the off here, and their fans are liking it a lot, foreshadowed by their constant singing.

22'

At last! The ball leaves the ground! Lazio adopt a more direct approach, with Felipe pinging one over the top for Immobile and Lulic to chase, but neither can get there, especially under the watchful eye of Federico Fazio.

23'

What a chance... and what a save! Edin Dzeko's first real contribution to this derby is a mazy run penetrating the Lazio defensive line, but he is foiled at the last with heroics from Thomas Strakosha. The score remains 0-0.

26'

A wonderful goal-saving challenge from Felipe on Florenzi as the Italian prepared to pull the fatal trigger that would surely have put Roma ahead. The home side's nerves are gone; the adrenaline is pumping now in this end-to-end encounter.

28'

So close! A headed near post flick from midfield giant Steven N'Zonzi just evades the post following an outswinging corner, and Roma suddenly look the more threatening.

30'

Stephan El Shawaarwy is causing Marusic and Felipe down the Roma left, utilising his raw pace and tricky footwork to bamboozle his counterparts. Probably the liveliest player we've seen thus far.

31'

All it needed was a touch! A teasing De Rossi ball across the six-yard box just misses the outstretched leg of El Shawaarwy. Roma are really turning up the heat, and Lazio are struggling to contain them.

37'

Javier Pastore is down and hurt - he limps off to be replaced by Lorenzo Pellegrini.

AS ROMA SUBSTITUTION:

Lorenzo Pellegrini coming on for Javier Pastore

38'

Another speedy burst down the left from El Sharaarwy has the Lazio defenders backing off scared, and that right flank is becoming a real weakness for Lazio which their opponents are looking to consistently exploit.

43'

Free kick Roma in a promising position after Kolarov is manhandled and wrestled to the floor. It's whipped in towards the tall frame of N'Zonzi, but his 6'4" stature loses out to the Lazio defence, which stands firm and clears.

45'

AS ROMA GOAL!

Scored by Lorenzo Pellegrini

Roma's pressure is finally too much as Lazio cave in at the back. A defensive catastrophe incurs as Strakosha fumbles his pickup off Dzeko's flick on, and Lorenzo Pellegrini, having just come on as a substitute, has drawn first blood in the derby with a ridiculous backheel!

45'

HALF TIME: AS ROMA 1-0 SS LAZIO

The referee blows for half-time at the end of a frantic first 45 minutes.

14:57

Despite a very strong Lazio start, Roma got the better of the kick-off nerves and really came into their own by the 20th minute. Stephan El Shawaarwy was causing significant damage down the left, terrorising Felipe and Marusic. It's been a quiet first half of football, though for Serbian talisman Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who Lazio fans will be pinning their hopes on after the restart.

15:04

The players have re-emerged after their respective half-time pep talks. What will the two managers have said in there?

46'

Play recommences. Another fabulous half of football in store.

48'

A more dynamic attack from Lazio, getting the ball forward quickly as Lulic burns down the left at pace, forcing the corner off Davide Santon. Nothing doing though from the set play, and it remains 1-0.

53'

Lazio have definitely come out more fired-up. They're crunching into every 50/50 and pressing high with Immobile and Alberto to try and rush the Roma centre-backs. Manolas and Fazio, though, are having none of it and continue to play out from the back with impressive composure in a game like this.

SS LAZIO SUBSTITUTIONS:

Joaquin Correa coming on for Luis Alberto

Milan Badelj coming on for Marco Parolo

57'

The introduction of Badelj will mean that MIlinkovic-Savic is unshackled a bit, allowing the Serb to push further forward and affect the game more in the final third.

60'

A Roma corner that results in a comfortable save for Strakosha after a tame Pellegrini effort.

62'

The frustration is beginning to mount for the Lazio players and supporters, who are getting on edge at their side's lacklustre performance thus far. Still, there is just under half an hour to salvage something.

63'

Another poor cross-field ball from Lazio as Marusic tries to pick out Milinkovic-Savic, but it's out for a throw and the Serb's frustration is publicised. It doesn't seem to be the Lazio talisman's day.

67'

SS Lazio GOAL!

Scored by Ciro Immobile

Out of nowhere, Lazio are level! Their main man up top Ciro Immobile is the scorer, a well taken drive into the corner where Olsen can't reach it. Fully deserved after great perseverence from the Italian to rob Federico Fazio, and it is game on again!

70'

AS Roma Yellow Card

Milan Badelj

Free kick right on the edge for Roma, Milan Badelj the guilty party after hacking down Pellegrini.

71'

AS Roma GOAL!

Scored by Aleksandar Kolarov

Aleksandar Kolarov lines it up, his wand of a left foot smashes it, far corner, and Roma are back in front. What. A. Free kick.

74'

Close! A looping header from Francesco Acerbi bounces onto the roof of the net after a delicious free kick in. Lazio are trying to bite back immediately.

AS ROMA SUBSTITUTION:

Bryan Christante coming on for Danielle De Rossi

77'

Dogged Roma pressing as they try to close out the game and sneak a third to put them out of sight. Lazio are on the ropes again.

79'

The feel-good factor generated by the goal has gone for Lazio. A careless swipe from Lucas goes harmlessly behind.

80'

A glimpse of Milinkovic-Savic magic as Olsen has to palm away the Serb's 20-yard drive. Corner Lazio. They're not done yet....

SS LAZIO SUBSTITUTION:

Felipe Caicedo coming on for Senad Lulic

82'

It's Lazio's turn to go direct. Felipe Caicedo is on. Long balls incoming.

AS ROMA SUBSTITUTION:

Juan Jesus coming on for Alessando Florenzi

83'

Roma react to this immediately. Juan Jesus is on instead of Florenzi, but have they parked the bus too soon?

84'

Corner Roma; a good stop from Strakosha to deny Kolarov, but the resulting set piece comes to nothing.

86'

AS Roma GOAL!

Scored by Federico Fazio

It's three! Federico Fazio powers in a header from Lorenzo Pellegrini's floated free kick. Game, set and match Roma!

88'

So close! Felipe Caicedo uses his sharpness to beat Manolas into the channel before firing a shot just past the far post, with Olsen scrambling.

89'

The jeers and time-wasting have started. It's going to be a miserable Metro journey home for the Lazio fans tonight.

90'

Four minutes added.

91'

Lazio have looked leggy throughout. Roma have been smart and not tired themsleves out so early. Perhaps their cautious start was planned to conserve energy...

93'

The Roma faithful are in full voice. The city and capital is their’s, they've got one over their fiercest rivals. In the corner of the Olimpico, the Lazio fans are stunned into silence. It's not a library, fellas...

94'

A last-gasp Lazio corner is triumphantly thumped clear by Santon, met by huge roars from Roma fans.

94'

FULL TIME: AS ROMA 3-1 SS LAZIO

And there it is. A wonderful spectacle; Roma dealing a blow to Lazio and recording back-to-back Serie A wins. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic lies on the turf, dejected, while it's party time for the brown side of the city tonight. I'd bury my face in my coat if I were a Lazio supporter... good luck on the train home, lads.

16:01

It's now back-to-back wins for Roma after they beat Frisinone 4-0 last week.
