About Me
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
My name is Oliver Gent, I am 18 years old, and, from an early age, I have had a true love for football and a passion for writing.
I am in my final year of school and am in the process of studying French, German and History at A-Level. Post GCSE's, I went on a 5-day placement to the Daily Mirror.
I received an open invitation to join their Online Sports desk whenever my schooling allowed after a successful first period. On their website, I have had nearly 50 reports published. These can all be seen here.
I also experienced working at Eurosport, (my published reports for them can be seen here) and I occasionally write for a website called "The Football League Scout".
My first experience of getting a report published was in April 2016; when my "Royal Family Of Leicestershire" report, also on this website, was published on the Leicester Mercury website.
I am hoping to go to a top university, to get a high-class degree and go on to become a football writer for a leading newspaper.
